As part of IBAO’s ongoing recruitment efforts, we’ve expanded our mentorship program to assist Canadian military members transition into a fulfilling career within the broker channel.
Treble Victor Group, who runs a Veteran Affairs Education & Training Program, has partnered with IBAO to offer a Veteran’s Mentorship Program designed to guide veterans into the insurance industry. The program consists of a structured five-week mentoring term, offering veterans valuable insights and guidance. Mentors—seasoned insurance professionals—provide support and valuable industry knowledge.
The idea for this program emerged from a conversation with a broker at Treble Victor Group, Elina Feyginberg. We already run a successful Mentorship program catering to college students pursuing insurance careers, but within this conversation we discovered the potential to expand our reach and provide a valuable resource for veterans.
The reception for this new program has been overwhelmingly positive, and veterans transitioning into civilian life have welcomed the opportunity to join. Elina has reported a positive interest, with numerous inquiries from veteran transition team members.
When veterans complete the mentoring component, they’re given access to our on-demand Broker Launchpad course and they’re sponsored for their RIBO Level 1 exam attempts. The goal is to lower barriers to enter into the brokerage industry. This approach reflects IBAO’s commitment to ensuring veterans have the tools to thrive in their post-military lives.
Our new Veteran’s Mentorship Program is a valuable resource for veterans in Ontario. It eases their transition into broker-focused careers and supports the industry’s commitment to supporting those who have served our country. As this program gains momentum, we encourage IBAO Members to sign up and be a part of shaping our veterans’ future careers.
