IBAO’s new course is ready to prepare you for the RIBO L2 Management Exams
It’s a myth that only people that want to own a brokerage should get their Level 2 (L2) license. In today’s industry, this simply isn’t the case and we’re on a mission to bust this outdated way of thinking.
If you’re a broker that’s been in the industry a few years, you’re on the upswing of your career and you’re looking for the next step—getting your L2 license is a great option. This license offers not only a valuable addition to your resume, it’ll also in turn, increase your contributions within your brokerage. In the past year, it has become common practice for any office leadership within a brokerage to carry a L2 license.
In lockstep with this new industry trend, IBAO has launched a new course to support brokers in their quest to get their L2 license—Principal Pathway. The course, rich with information, has married the fundamentals of what is required to pass the RIBO L2 Management exam with the leadership skills that are required for any leader in any business—making it a perfect step for those looking to grow their careers in insurance. Available in-person or via zoom, the course covers:
Understanding the RIB Act & Principal Broker Expectations: Intel into the expectations of Principal Brokers which will make you more valuable as a leader within your brokerage regardless of your position
Financial Management of a Brokerage: Learning the financial ratios specific to insurance brokerages—this improves your ability to drive results on behalf of your brokerage
Leadership Styles & Managing People: This new component to the course will provide an understanding about your leadership style and cover important skills for any leaders including assigning, uncovering and delegating tasks
The initial Principal Pathway pilot ran in Feb 2023. Survey results show that it was well received and the information was valuable for those looking to take on a heightened leadership role within the insurance industry. The course will continue to run throughout 2023. If you’re interested in learning more or registering for the course please visit the Principal Pathways page.
