Vidhya Gopinathan, Exams Enrollment Specialist
In our first Staff Spotlight of 2023, we’re excited to highlight Vidhya Gopinathan. Vidhya joined IBAO in November 2021 as an Enrollment Coordinator. She has since moved into the Enrollment Specialist – Exams role, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to our team.
Vidhya worked in both the higher education and engineering sectors in Dubai, and has also earned a Master’s degree and is an accredited Project Management Professional (PMP). She brings that diverse background to the IBAO team, where she can showcase her commitment to lifelong learning and professional development.
In her current role, Vidhya is the first point of contact for all exam related queries. She understands how stressful an exam experience can be for the candidate and strives to remain proactive and responsive to candidate concerns. Her goal is to help provide a customer-focused exam experience, while upholding the necessary examination controls as specified by our regulators.
This is an excellent fit because education has always been a passion for Vidhya. She has always excelled academically and confesses that she was always the teacher’s pet. She understands the value of both organized and creative environments but ultimately found that education was her true calling. When she moved to Toronto, she jumped at the opportunity to join the IBAO team, bringing her wealth of experience and expertise with her.
Vidhya’s love for education is only matched by her passion for reading. She’s always looking for the next great book to dive into or add to her growing to-read list, and loves reading books that give her a snapshot of a different culture. She recently read We Measure the Earth with Our Bodies by Tsering Yangzom Lama and found it very hard-hitting. Vidhya also enjoys spending quality time with her family and watching movies together—anything with Tom Cruise will do. This love for reading and family time is another aspect of Vidhya’s well-rounded and enjoyable personal life.
Since joining the IBAO team, Vidhya’s most significant accomplishment has been working collaboratively with the team itself. She aims to support and uplift the team’s work, always striving towards member-service excellence. She believes that the team members make IBAO a special place to work and is honoured to be a part of such a dedicated and hard-working group of professionals.
