Gabriela Bejarano—Office Manager & Special Projects, IBAO
In 2025, IBAO’s office space will undergo a major renovation to better reflect the changes and growth we’ve seen as an organization and as a team. This is something I’ve personally been looking forward to, and I’m excited to be part of this next step in our journey.
I’ve been working at IBAO since 2013, taking on various roles over the years. My current role is Office Manager & Special Projects. I’ve had the privilege of watching the association grow and evolve in so many ways—staffing, leadership, programs and services—but not the place we spend so much time together as a team. It’s long overdue for an upgrade to match the strides we’ve made as an association.
We have a talented, dedicated team at IBAO, and I’m excited at the prospect of working in a modern, inspiring space that better supports what we do for our members. This renovation is more than just a fresh coat of paint. It’s about creating a space that fosters collaboration, productivity and creativity. A place where our team can continue to grow and thrive as we bring new, innovative services to our members.
While this renovation officially begins January 1, 2025, we’ve been building up to it over many months. There’s so much planning that goes into a project of this magnitude—coordinating contractors, getting rid of unused items, organizing what’s being kept, communicating ongoing changes to staff, managing building maintenance and creating a new vision for the space.
The project is currently scheduled to wrap March 31, 2025. During this time, we’ll be temporarily relocating to the office space next to us, Suite 705, working in a hybrid model like we do today.
Our renovated office will feature:
- More meeting rooms to facilitate collaboration and program hosting
- Hotel desk spaces for all staff
- Private office spaces for virtual meetings
- A brand-new kitchen
- Contemporary furniture including stand-up desks
- Modernized floors, walls, ceilings, colors
- Updated air conditioning and climate control
- Upgraded phone systems
- A space dedicated to in-person exam facilitation
This renovation reflects our commitment to improving the services we offer to our members in a space that allows us to keep growing and evolving as an organization. I can’t wait to see how this new environment will inspire us to better support our broker community.
