Highlighting Achievement Across Ontario’s Broker Channel

It’s an understatement to say things have looked and felt different this year. Many things have been cancelled or postponed, including our planned celebration of turning 100 years old as an association, which we like to now think of as a two-year birthday.

One thing we felt shouldn’t be postponed is our annual Awards of Excellence celebrating achievement across the broker channel. How could we not recognize the efforts of brokers who have overcome the many challenges and seemingly endless curveballs COVID continues to bring us?

Brokers who have stepped up and supported local businesses, contributed to causes financially or through volunteer efforts, demonstrated compassion for their teams and clients while showing exceptional leadership—they deserve recognition. If there was any year to award brokers for their contributions and highlight their accomplishments, it’s this one.

Introducing a single category this year—Community Leadership Awards—awarded to an unlimited number of brokers who are nominated by their clients or peers. Community Leaders are IBAO Member Brokers who have gone above and beyond normal expectation contributing to their communities and brokerages in meaningful ways.

We know giving back is pretty standard for our membership, but it’s time Ontario’s consumers know too. Winners will be announced at IBAO’s Virtual Convention October 21–22 with ongoing recognition into 2021, through our #OntarioBrokers campaign and across our many consumer-focused platforms.
