With Richard Massie—President & Principal Broker, Halpenny
Halpenny is a nationally-licensed, independent brokerage founded in Westboro, Ottawa in 1912, that has clients across Canada. That national reach no doubt contributed to Halpenny’s latest achievement—being awarded the National Master Standing Offer (NMSO) for the Federal Government.
An NMSO is a method of supply created to save the government time and money in the procurement process. They’re commonly used when a government department or agency has to repeatedly order the same goods or services, or if they anticipate a need for goods or services but the demand isn’t yet known. Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) issue an NMSO and then when a need arises, the government issues a call-up against the standing offer.
Being selected as a successful proponent to supply Insurance Broker Services to the Federal Government of Canada is exciting news for Halpenny.
“Being selected as a successful proponent to supply Insurance Broker Services to the Federal Government of Canada is exciting news for Halpenny,” said Richard Massie, President and Principal Broker.
“It was a lengthy RFP process led by Vice-President Mike Gilmour and the rest of the Halpenny Specialty Risk team. It gave Halpenny the ability to present the depth of our experienced personnel, our brokerage’s capabilities and most importantly, put in evidence some notable client references.
“Our Halpenny Specialty Risk division serves complex clients across Canada. Our strength is in our team of industry leading commercial account executives. We also specialize in municipal business, national insurance programs, manufacturing and construction accounts, surety bonding and group home and auto insurance programs.
This gives the Halpenny Specialty Risk division an opportunity to draw upon our team’s collaboration and to service a vast complex client in Canada.”
